OUR POSITION ON ANIMAL TESTING
For our consumers to use our beauty products with complete confidence, we must evaluate the safety of our products and our ingredients.
Thanks to our continued investment in research over the last 30 years, we are able to assess our products’ safety without relying on animals. In other words, we do not test any of the 5.7 BILLION products sold per year on animals.
As for our ingredients, it’s only when there is no alternative way to predict an adverse effect that we must resort to animal testing, which represents less than 1% of safety assessments.
But our ultimate goal which we have worked toward for the past 30 years is to achieve ZERO tests overall.
From March 11th, 2013 :
A total ban of the sale in Europe of any cosmetic product that was tested on animals or containing an ingredient that was tested on animals after this date.
